South-West Java is full of attractions, making it an ideal destination all-year round. We’ve listed a few of the highlights below.
A ten minute walk from CBC brings you to Sunset beach and there are numerous other beautiful beaches further afield including Sawarna and Pulau Manuk. There is a bat cave just past Pelabuhan Ratu that can be amazing at sunset time and a collection of geothermal hot springs in nearby Cisolok. Guests can also release baby turtles in Ujung Genteng or enjoy the thrill of white water rafting in Citarik.
Cimaja has its own waterfall at the back of the village and there are many others dotted around in the hills nearby. Customers often bring their own bicycles or set off on adventures with scooters and are always happily surprised by what they find. The Geopark has also recently become more accessible and boasts numerous mind-blowing rivers and waterfalls flowing down into the valley.
West Java has some of the oldest relics in the world (including the famous Gunung Padang, two hours from CBC), and there are many small megalithic sites just a stone’s throw away from Cimaja. Guests also take day trips into the hills to visit the picturesque village of Ciptagelar where, although they have modern comforts like TVs and cellphones, the community still runs in the same way it has for hundreds of years (complete with a King!).
